Meet
Tashima

I'm Tashima Freeman, a proud Muslim woman, devoted mother, and experienced accountant running to serve as your next Councilwoman for the City of South Fulton.

My campaign centers on community, accountability, and delivering real results.

With a bachelor's degree in accounting, an MBA in Management, and Green Belt Six Sigma certification, I bring both educational background and practical efficiency to local government.

As a business owner, I understand the daily challenges our residents face and know which systems need to work better for South Fulton to thrive.

The Top Priorities

Economic Development That Actually Benefits Us

South Fulton should be thriving, not just surviving. I'll advocate for substantial investments our community can see and benefit from: commercial development including pavilions, infrastructure improvements, and opportunities that put money back into our city and residents' pockets.

Youth Programs and Family Support

Our young people need pathways, not just programs. I'll work for initiatives that remove barriers facing youth and families. This means free transportation so high schoolers can participate in after-school activities or get to work, a Makers Space where youth can develop skills for future careers, and a free college tour program that shows juniors and seniors possibilities they might never have considered.

Supporting Our Seasoned Citizens

Our older residents deserve to feel valued, supported, and connected. I'll champion a home repair support program partnering with local South Fulton businesses to provide assistance. I also want to establish an "Adopt a Granny" program, connecting youth and young adults with elders for regular visits and everyday help that builds relationships across generations.

Better Infrastructure and Smarter Safety

Basic services shouldn't be a constant struggle. From cleaner streets to improved roads, I'll focus on systems we all depend on. We also need thoughtful safety approaches: more streetlights in high-crime areas and a mental health crisis response team that can de-escalate 911 calls, so fewer people end up in jail when they need support, not a criminal record.

Open Books and Clear Communication

Every resident should understand how our city budget works and where tax dollars go. I'll push for transparent finances, clearer communication, and full community access to city planning processes.

Building Our Reputation

South Fulton has incredible culture, creativity, and potential. We should be making headlines for positive reasons. Let's build a city we're proud of, together.
